I'm ill again
As you probably read yesterday, I'm kind of ill - the IBS is back. I have two potential culprits, and I'm blaming both of them - milk and booze. So with that in mind, I've compiled a list of acceptable breakfasts that contain protein but not milk (or booze!) in my head. I then had to cull a few - for example, beans on toast conflicts with the low fibre diet I'm about to start, as diagnosis for the IBS.
What's really different this time, though, is that my stronger core muscles are making the pain a lot easier to ignore. My posture is better - I don't need to hunch up so much - so my shoulder isn't sore as much, and I'll have periods of time during the day when I don't feel the pain at all, because my abs and hips are holding everything in a comfortable place. Even overnight, I was able to lie flat on my back and sleep, and a couple of times on my front, too!
When the pain is there, it's just as bad, but it doesn't stop me doing what I need to. For example, I had a huge spasm as I climbed my stairs yesterday, and I barely stalled for it - just carried on.
