Domain registration
I'm thinking of starting a new website to document the games work I'm starting to do in my downtime. Exciting times!

I was wondering if other techy types had any recommendations for which of the (1<<64) domain registration companies are worth using? Good for price, reliability, service? Not likely to sell your domain without checking with you first?

That kind of thing.

Depends what domain you're thinking of but if you already have hosting and want a .uk domain then a reliable non-assery company to use could be the company I used to work for - details here, which I vouch is run by decent blokes.

Yep, I've used 123-reg since 2002 and they've been fine. For the hosting itself I use http://www.xcalibre.co.uk/.

Well, that's 3 recommendations for 123-reg from website owners, so that's good enough for me! Now, do I want the .com as well as the .co.uk... decisions, decisions...

Maybe do like I did and register both and then set one to forward to the other in 123-reg itself? That way you don't have to point both at your host, just the one you want to be fo' realz.
