Anyways, I'm firmly entrenched in a project at work now, and quite enjoying it. I'm just doing frontend stuff, but it's all practical experience that I didn't have and am enjoying picking up. I'm actually really glad to be away from Java - I'm using Phython scripts run within a C++ framework, which I'm sure you can imagine is a pain to debug (actually, for those who aren't coders - please imagine that it's a pain to debug). But that's really one of the things that I'm good at - fixing hidden bugs - so it's all fun and, well, games.
The office is pretty relaxed compared to Jagex, which, for some reason, makes it easier to get work done.
I move in to my apartment tonight - I get it to myself for a month, then I get a longpig installed, so really it's one good thing after another. Aside from having to wait for a phone line and internets, which I need to get started on. I'm going to go with Demon because well, counter-intuitively, they are the least evil of ISPs that I can find.
I also need to send my RAM back to crucial to be replaced, but I can't do that until I get an RMA from them, so I'm waiting for that. In the mean time, no computer! I'm using John's for calling people, though, so Sundays will still be fine.
